The Chicago Youth Voices Network is a collaborative of youth media professionals working together to strengthen the field of youth media.By gathering leaders together for peer learning, advocacy and joint projects, the Chicago Youth Voices Network works to amplify the voices of our city’s young people, so that the important stories they tell through the media they create can catalyze positive change in their own lives and the communities in which they live.

Members of the Chicago Youth Voices Network convene regularly around three primary objectives:

1. To learn and share best practices in media literacy, pedagogy, and organizational management.
2. To build relationships and collaborate on projects that promote and disseminate the important voices of youth.
3. To build strategic partnerships with key allies, locally and nationally.

By engaging in these activities, we aim to increase awareness of the significant impact that youth media education plays in the civic, educational and developmental lives of youth in the city of Chicago and beyond.
